The design of Vio begins with a question of essentials what remains when everything unnecessary is removed. The answer is a chair that is structurally sound, visually light, and immediately welcoming. Comfort and stackability shaped every decision from the outset, guiding the construction toward a form that is both practical and purposeful.
The construction is reduced to its essential elements, achieving a sense of visual lightness without compromising structural integrity. Its curved geometry, defined by precise, deliberate lines, gives Vio a balanced and composed silhouette that holds its own without competing with its surroundings. The result is a chair that feels considered, not designed, as though it could not have taken any other shape.
Available in upholstered and non-upholstered versions, Vio adapts naturally to different contexts, from the warmth of a family dining room to the refined restraint of a professional or hospitality setting. Its versatility is not incidental but inherent to its conception, a chair that belongs wherever people sit together.
Conceived to accompany all Wewood tables, Vio reflects a shared commitment to material authenticity, skilled craftsmanship, and long-term relevance. It is made to be used, to age well, and to remain.
The name draws from the final letters of Convívio, the Portuguese word for conviviality, for the act of bringing people together around a common table. In Vio, form and meaning are one.
