Some objects carry a world within them. Opera is one of those. Its name is not a metaphor but a conviction, a design that finds its references in the richness of the performing arts, where beauty, discipline, and emotion are held in careful balance.

The silhouette speaks before anything else. Its curves are not merely ergonomic, though they are precisely that, but compositional, shaped with the same attention to proportion and rhythm that a score demands of its performers. To sit in Opera is to understand its geometry through the body: a backrest that counterweights with quiet intelligence, armrests that guide without constraining, a form that holds without enclosing.

The materials are chosen with the same deliberateness. Leather and solid walnut are the structural choices, each surface a reference to the craft that sustains great performance: the set design, the costumes, the carefully built props that make a world believable. Here, that world is the room it inhabits.

Opera does not belong to a single era. Like the art form it evokes, it carries the weight of tradition without being bound by it, classic in its sensibility, contemporary in its construction, and entirely at ease in both. It is a chair for spaces that value presence, for interiors where an object is allowed to be more than functional.

Conceived with the same commitment to material authenticity and craftsmanship that defines every Wewood piece, Opera is built to endure, not only in structure, but in meaning. A work of its own.
