Three Interior Design trends for 2021

2020 brought a lot of challenges that changed the way we live and how we see the role of our homes. Will those changes influence the way we furnish and decorate our living spaces from now on?

The new year always implies changes and in 2021 the most important one will take place inside our household. Here are three simple design trends that you should follow if you are looking for fresh ways to update your home.

Natural Materials

Natural materials such as wood, leather, marble, ceramic, and plants will certainly furnish more spaces in 2021. The desire to bring nature inside is becoming more than just a trend, it supports the need to stay close to the outdoors. This also gained a bigger role in our new home offices. Allowing day light to reflect on marble or bright ceramics will create a blueish light work environment.

Easy-to-clean materials

Easy-to-clean materials continue to rise in popularity, as a way to curb the spread of germs indoors. Cleanliness is on the top of society’s mind and it will push the search for non-porous materials such as glass, metal and specially designed fabrics that resist stains and endure the test of daily wear.

Warm colours

After a dark 2020, our homes need light, warmth, comfort, and cosiness. Neutral and earth tones are the top trend, but bright colours like green or yellow will certainly play a great role on creating a homey, inviting, sunset light effect.

Wewood

The arrival of the coronavirus pandemic forced us to reflect, dissect, and evaluate how we live indoors, and the importance of improving our relationship with our home. We began to fully live and work in our houses, thus they’re becoming a capsule for the outside world.
