Traditional Joinery Techniques

In the next couple of weeks, we will present you the values that compose our brand's DNA: Joinery, design, know-how, functionality, innovation and aesthetics

This week's brand spotlight - Joinery

Since the start of our company, joinery has always been the main value of WEWOOD.

Our roots are in solid wood furniture manufacture. Our highly skilled craftspeople combine noble materials, traditional joinery, handcraft and advanced technology, turning into reality each piece of our collection.

Joinery is a part of woodworking that involves joining together pieces of wood to produce more complex items. We use traditional methods of making such as: mortise and tenon, dovetail, lap and halved joint. Long grain to long grain connections combined with wood glue that seeps deep within the timber creates an exceptionally strong connection.

Every piece is hand assembled, hand finished and quality controlled before being despatched.
