Wewood announces Web Summit partnership

Web Summit started in 2010 as a simple idea: the ideia to connect the technology community with all industries, both old and new. It seemed to resonate. Web Summit has grown to become the “largest technology conference in the world” like no other conference has ever grown so large and so fast. But we also pride ourselves in organising the “best technology conference on the planet”.

Seven years later, Wewood is a partner for this edition! Wewood has the pleasure to announce that Will be present at Web Summit 2017 edition with several pieces. Bowie sofa, Caravela lounge chair and Bica coffee table will be stage stars. You can also discover Pensil lounge chair and Sartor lounge chair distributed all over the event.

With a simple eye catching detail, Bowie’s structure plays between the slim appearance of metal and the robustness of wood. Thanks to the use of memory foam, the soft and clean lines of the sofa will be kept even with intense use. Being a modular sofa, it's dimensions can vary between a single armchair seat, to a 3 seat wide sofa, ideal to any room and decoration.

Crafted using the traditional techniques of joinery, Caravela lounge chair has a custom design to furnish homes and hospitality spaces with style and elegance. Inspired in the traditional portuguese Caravela boat, this chair family is a tribute to some of the greatest and bravest portuguese history.

Bica coffee table was designed to be functional. Inspired by a typical portuguese dialect expression, its name reminds to a convivial gesture of drinking coffee with friends.

Pensil design was inspired in the old bridge Pênsil, currently known as D. Luís bridge. Created to celebrate the coronation anniversary of D.Maria II, Pênsil was a suspense bridge between Porto and Gaia. Pensil lounge chair is perfect to embellish your home. It has a sculptured wooden structure, creating using traditional techniques of woodworking and a soft seating.

Sartor lounge chair was studied to the smallest detail, like a custom suit, Sartor chairs can be tailored to fit a specific occasion. Between their simple design, choice of fabrics and legs, these chairs can truly be shaped to fit any project.
