PORTO, March 2018 – The Portuguese brand Wewood – Portuguese Joinery and the Singapore-based architecture and design practice, WOHA announced they are joining forces on a partnership on furniture and home décor objects under the WOHAbeing brand, which will be shown at Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan, Italy.

Wewood’s CEO, Salvador Gonzaga believes that “this is an excellent partnership for both parties because we complement each other. WOHA is known for great design and ideas and Wewood has a great reputation in manufacturing with high expertise in wood production. With this partnership, Wewood will be able to get to know and discover the Asian market and, at the same time, introduce WOHAbeing to the European market.”

Richard Hassell, WOHA co-founder, also believes in the benefits of this partnership: “We are very confident in Wewood’s production capacity and reliability, we trust their attention to detail and quality control. It’s wonderful to collaborate with partners who have experience not just in manufacturing but who know the industry and are plugged into the market”.

WOHAbeing was launched at Maison&Objet Paris in September of last year with six collections of furniture and homeware. “We are really excited to work with Wewood. The quality of their products is absolutely top-notch and we share a similar outlook on design, sustainability and craftsmanship,” says Mun Summ Wong, WOHA co-founder.

Wewood started manufacturing pieces from the Ulu Indoor and Bintan Collections in January 2018 and will also handle the retail and distribution of these pieces.

Both companies will share the same stand at Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan, Italy, located in HALL 6 | STAND D43.
